Chef/restaurateur Oscar Manresa hosted the official launch of Brickell’s newest hotspot, Perfecto Gastro-bar, his first U.S. restaurant location on Tuesday, April 8, with an over- the-top party filled with A-listers music and unforgettable food and drinks.
From small plates with huge flavors, to larger dishes, guests experienced a Barcelona-inspired feast that included Catalonian hard sausage and grilled bread with rubbed tomato, marinated tomato tartare, roasted chicken croquettes, grilled octopus, fried calamari and angel hair seafood paella. Rounding out the evening was a decadent dessert of Catalan cream. We couldn’t help but return the following night to try other signature dishes such as the crab-avocado cannelloni, signature shrimp and wild mushroom ravioli, the perfect fillet with truffle fries and the chocolate ganache- prepared with olive oil and sea salt- there is truly nothing like it!
Manresa, shared the following: “Perfecto is a part of Barcelona in Miami, just entering the restaurant you can see, smell, taste and feel like you are in Barcelona, a city that is both Mediterranean and Cosmopolitan.” We concur!
Notable guests joining Manresa and restaurant manager, Jordi Escala were: HBO’s Girls actress Jemimah Kirke, Iran Issa-Khan, Ranjana Khan, Brandi Reddick, Alberto Latorre, Brian Antoni, Tara Solomon, Nick D’Annunzio, Oscar and Carole Seikaly, Criselda and Jonathan Breene, Dana and Gary Shear, Steve and Carly Patterson, John Lin, Jillian Posner, Petra Mason, Ausbert de Arce, Suzy Buckley Woodward, Jillian Jacobson, Tara Elias Schuchts, Amaris Jones, Pablo de Ritis, James Davis, Bronwyn Miller, Tara Sokolow and Jack Benmeleh, Dr. Julio Gallo, Susanne Birbragher and Carolina Garcia-Aguilera.
Perfecto Gastrobar’s house DJ, Ferran Lozano, also known as DJ FER-R, who spins after-dinner, dance music on Friday and Saturday nights, kept the party going late into the evening. For more information about Perfecto, visit: perfectomiami.com.
Cottage Miami Hosts Michael Bastian
Ariel Burman hosted an evening of fashion, fun and cocktails at his Sunset Harbor menswear boutique, Cottage Miami, last week and welcomed CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year recipient, Michael Bastian and his Spring/Summer 2014 Collection. Miami fashion enthusiasts and New Yorkers alike enjoyed flowing Grey Goose cocktails while previewing Bastian’s collection of casual and comfortable clothing perfectly suited for a long casual work day, or a stroll on the sand. Also on display, were ten works from Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair photographer, Greg Lotus. Jared Cook of the St. Louis Rams held court with Burman, his adorable mother Meera and Ruth and Alan Zelcer in one corner, while Zachary Scott, Aldo Alvarez, Santiago Ynigo and Michael Leondas Kirkland conversed near the fitting room to spy people’s top picks from Bastian’s collection. Lotus arrived with a string of beautiful young models which immediately caught the eye of Bastian and his right-hand girl, the beautiful Eugenia Gonzalez. Guests departed with gifts from Michael Bastian, Havaianas, Terrapin Stationers and Alice Smith’s latest CD, She. Hats off to another fascinating evening produced by ‘MK’ for mkarte.com. Burman mentioned a Ladies Who Lunch luncheon in the works! Could this mean women’s wear coming soon? Visit Cottage Miami and see for yourself!
