Eye to Eye at Gallery CU1 at the Security Building will be showcasing the works by New York-based artist Kristian Schuller and Paris-U.S.based artist Cheyco Leidmann.
The elegant and hyper-romantic garments that appear in Schuller’s work are designed by him, an artist whose Design education was under the British fashion icon Vivienne Westwood- the businesswoman largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream in the early 1980s.
CU1, the contemporary photo space will be exhibiting Schuller’s dream-like staged photographs, for the first time.
In the Vault Room, CU1 will be showcasing the intensely colored and cutting-edge stylized images by Leidmann, an artist who also made mark in the 1980’s defining a new photographic style of visual expressionism.
His eye-catching graphic aesthetic has sparked the imagination of many followers. His publication entitled Foxy Lady was chosen by Vogue as one of the nine classic books of the last five decades.
