West Elm of Midtown relaunched it’s involvement in the arts of the community last night with a show of local photographers, Starr Sariego, portraying her journey to Oaxaca, Mexico during the Day of the Dead celebration, and her father, Les Cizek displaying his macro photography of abstracts in nature. Both photographers presented beautiful tones and textures in the subjects they chose. Their show titled, Enzales, meaning to interwine – familial ties, spirits of past with lives of present, will be available for show and purchase through the 7th. West Elm plans to show artist year round, as well as present lectures and other events.
