News: South of Fifth to Pick Board December 5

Balloting is underway to pick directors for the South of Fifth Neighborhood Association’s board.

The election is to fill six residential directors seats. The board’s sole commercial seat drew no challengers, so its incumbent, Laura Cullen of Clarke’s Restaurant, has been automatically reelected to serve another year.

The seven candidates vying for the 6 residential seats are Victor Diaz, Jr., Michael Grieco, Stephen Mandy, Michael Perlmutter, Gerald Posner, Ronald P. Starkman, and Morris Sunshine.

The top three vote-getters will earn 2-year terms while the next 3 will serve one-year terms.

SOFNA’s Dec. 5 meeting will be at the Murano at Portfino (1000 South Pointe Dr.).
