New Miami Beach Smart Phone App Improves Service & Communications.
The Miami Beach eGov app is a free, simple, real-time platform that connects you directly with the city government to resolve issues in the community in a snap. Report concerns, track requests and provide comments. Also, read news and events, track the trolley, and use the GIS map. The app is available on iPhone (iTunes) and Android (Google Play) devices.
“As promised, we are empowering the public with a tool that will make it easier for us to respond to issues of concern in their neighborhoods,” said Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine. “I understand the importance of being accountable and able to rapidly respond to the public’s concerns. By improving the way issues are identified and communicated, we are better able to efficiently prioritize and coordinate resolution efforts.”
The new smart phone app allows the public to report real-time neighborhood concerns such as abandoned property, alley cleanliness, graffiti, illegal dumping, broken sidewalks, potholes, and homeless activity, among others, to the appropriate municipal government office in a snap. The smart reports include a photo & GPS location that will automatically integrate with the City’s systematized and prioritized customer support center.
Miami Beach will launch upgrades to the app as more features become available. For more information on the various ways to report an issue to the City of Miami Beach and for instructions on how to download the Miami Beach eGov app to your smart phone, head to the City website.
The app was developed by EMA a St. Paul, Minnesota-based. EMA has been an industry mainstay for more than 35 years, providing municipalities with solutions that meet business and technology needs.
