Who are you?

The owner of MADinItaly store, come from a fashion industry background. I grew up in paris france and went to college in L.A, married Italian and have lived almost 10 years in New York, where my son was born. We then moved to Bologna, Italy for 9 years and moved to Miami 3 years ago.

What do you do in real life?

Work, remodel apartments, mom, travel between Italy and U.S

What do you like most about what you do?

I love designing homes because each home reflects a different personality of the client and culture and it’s very creative and never boring. Each project is unique

How would you define Miami’s style?

Fun, modern, simple, colorful, zen

How did you name your store?

My name is nadine and everyone calls me Nad but I wanted to underline the made in Italy so at first I thought of Nadine Italy then Nadinitaly then a flash MADinitaly was more fun and more Made in Italy

Does Miami really need yet another home shop. What sets MADinItaly apart?

Like the name mentions it, we do really have MAD items from MAD designers. From home accessories to the furniture we carry, every piece is a fun different design that fits every corner of every house of every style.

What must a prospective shopper know about Mad in Italy?

That what you will find at MADinItaly is unique, made in italy and is nowhere to be found in florida because we have exclusivities. At MADinitaly everything is possible, we also do custom made of anything you can ever imagine.

What is the funkiest piece you have in the store?

It’s hard to say, since each piece is so funky in it’s own way, I can mention a few, the Fiat 500 sofa, the marble chairs, the Prosciutto sofa and so on…

If you could have lunch with anyone famous who would it be?

Zaha Hadid
